On 24 July, the unearthly voice of Alina Orlova will be spread at the heart of Vilnius which the listeners were missing notably. The performer, who rarely gives concerts in Lithuania, is to present her newest album during the Midsummer Vilnius Festival. During the concert, a string quartet will also play on the stage together with Alina Orlova. After a three-year break, the fans of Alina will finally have an opportunity to refresh their souls with new vibrations of songs by Alina.
Alina does not create songs out of nothing as her creative process is marked by particular traces of time and personal experience, and the new album is not an exception: works are organic in the album, and this is the realm where the shift of both the author and her creative works unfold.
According to the performer herself, the album was inspired by the time and probably by sorrow as well as by songs created in the last two years. “Before that, I made a relatively long break: as many as three years passed after I released my latest album, and precisely ten years have passed since the first album was released. I am in a way returning to the beginning, back “to the origins” through this album, and I would like to mark the end of the first phase of my creative work in this way”, Alina says.
