During the very first Midsummer Vilnius festival, Jazzu’s unique concert with an orchestra became one of the most successful events of the festival. Iconic songs, enriched with a symphonic depth, not only mesmerized the audience but also laid the foundation for a tradition of orchestral projects that, over the past ten years, has become an essential part of the festival.
On the occasion of the festival’s anniversary, on the evening of July 16, listeners will have a rare opportunity to experience this performance once again. In the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes, Jazzu, accompanied by an orchestra conducted by maestro Modestas Pitrėnas, will perform the most outstanding hits of her career, elevated to grand symphonic euphoria.
The evening will undoubtedly feature some of Jazzu’s most beloved and widely streamed songs, including “Tik pasilik,” “Po mano oda,” “Lower Than the Ground,” “Mėnulio šviesoje,” and other all-time favorites. These cherished tracks will gain new colors through fresh arrangements specially crafted for this evening by the festival’s close friend, the talented composer Jievaras Jasinskis. The performance will be further enhanced by a moving light show under the open Old Town sky.
Justė Arlauskaitė–Jazzu and Midsummer Vilnius share a long-standing connection. Each of her performances at the festival is not just a concert but an unforgettable experience—a courtyard full of devoted listeners, rain that has become a signature tradition of these performances, and music that lifts the soul above everyday life.
