The capital’s music enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating this event for years.

Hania Rani, an acclaimed sound aesthete whose live concert recordings garner millions of listens, is making her debut in Lithuania for the first time. On July 19th, she will create a unique performance with piano, synthesizers, and rhythm machines at the “Midsummer Vilnius” festival.

Born in Gdansk, the Polish artist completed her piano studies in Warsaw at the prestigious Fryderyk Chopin Music University and continued her mastery training in Berlin.

As a composer and vocalist, she crafts contemporary classical performances of rare beauty, employing ambient music effects, electronic music pulsations, or as she describes it: blending Chopin with Dave Brubeck and “Moderat.”

The post-classical genre artist finds inspiration in composers such as Max Richter, Esbjorn Svensson, Miles Davis, Nils Frahm, Murcof, and bands like Portico Quartet, Radiohead, and even The Beatles.

Hania Rani’s compositions are deep and colorful, resembling chromatic cascades of Mozart, while her performance is sensitive and musically passionate. Her performances have already been immortalized by renowned radio stations such as NPR and KEXP, and the geography of her concerts expands further every year.

The composer’s music has garnered numerous international awards, and her latest album, “Ghost” (2023), is hailed as one of the best contemporary classical albums of the year.
